In loving memory of Tom Thomson
HELP FIGHT GLIOBLASTOMA Tom Thomson died from a Glioblastoma on 8 July 2024 after the diagnosis of this deadly brain tumour cancer was known on 22 May. His tumour was estimated to be 6 months old. We were still hoping to enjoy every minute of life for hopefully another 6 months. It turned out we only had 6 weeks left to look after him before his passing at home. He behaved calmly and courageously, telling his family "All’s well, tout va bien".
We are grateful for the palliative care he had at home where he passed away peacefully into his wife’s arms.

20th September being his birthday, rekindles the need to fight Glioblastoma all the more so as we now know that it also affects YOUNG PEOPLE and about 400 people die in Scotland every year of this high grade tumour for which there is currently no treatment, revealing how vital the need for Research to find a cure is.

This is why in his memory we would like to contribute to the efforts of The Scottish Brain Tumour Research Centre which should start operating on 1st November at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow thanks to the collaboration of two charities Beatson Cancer Charity and Brain Tumour Research. By donating to the Beatson Cancer Charity with this link, all your donations will be made to The Scottish Brain Tumour Research Centre.
