This fund has been set up in honour of my other-worldly husband and raison d'être Dale Barclay, who tragically died from brain cancer in September 2018 at just 32. Dale was a force to be reckoned with; an old soul with the wildest heart. He lived for love, music, truth and adventure – fierce and compassionate to the very end. To have witnessed Dale’s courageous and transcendent spirit will forever be the purest honour of my existence. His name will call across the ages, for he was an extraordinary man and an inspiration to so many. The nurses, consultants and staff at the Beatson were true heroes throughout our journey. Dale received the finest care and often expressed profound gratitude for the dignity, support and respect he was shown by the Beatson Team.
